Now, adding to the momentum of well over one million ZLX units delivered globally, ZLX G2 steps up as the sequel to that success story. The point of entry into the Electro-Voice portable loudspeaker portfolio, ZLX G2 builds on its predecessor’s winning formula with increased maximum SPL, frequency range, durability and connectivity, along with a range of ergonomic refinements.

SUPERIOR ENGINEERING, SUPERIOR SOUND

The standout audio quality that made ZLX the go-to choice for both musical performance/playback and spoken-word applications has been leveled-up with ZLX G2. Maximum SPL has increased to 129 dB (ZLX-15P-G2), and premium components behind the grille ensure ZLX G2 offers stunning acoustic performance for everyday use. The woofer and compression driver in each ZLX G2 model are coupled to a patented SST (Signal Synchronized Transducers) ported waveguide, enhancing low-frequency extension and delivering even

vertical and horizontal coverage across all frequencies – all while allowing a more compact form factor. ZLX G2 packs a sonic punch that’s worthy of the Electro-Voice name.

SMART CONTROL AND CONNECTIVITY

ZLX G2 powered versions are “Powered by Dynacord” – onboard premium electronics from Electro-Voice’s sibling brand. Ultra-efficient 1000 W Class-D power amplifier modules feature an integrated four-channel, three-input digital mixer with high-quality effects. The mixer

includes two XLR/TRS combo jacks and provides 24 V phantom power and Hi-Z compatibility. The mixer also includes pro features such as AFS (automatic feedback suppression), ducking, compression, loudspeaker delay settings and more.

Five system mode settings are available: Music, Live, Speech, Club and FRFR (full range, flat response). New for ZLX G2 and a unique feature in this product class, the FRFR setting offers a flat/neutral frequency response to produce accurate results when used with modeling processors and guitar cab simulators. Powered ZLX G2 loudspeakers also contain Electro-Voice-specific subwoofer presets that adjust for both gain and time alignment, resulting in full acoustic optimization. Additional high pass (HP) filters are available in the DSP for increased compatibility.

All ZLX G2 loudspeaker and mixer functions can be remote-controlled and monitored using the Electro-Voice QuickSmart Mobile app, available for iOS and Android. The app allows pairing and grouping of up to six Bluetooth®-equipped Electro-Voice portable loudspeakers, in any combination. Users can wirelessly pair and link to two ZLX G2 loudspeakers in a stereo setup using Bluetooth® true wireless stereo streaming. Local configuration can be completed in seconds using the single-knob encoder with LCD. The new, full-color LCD is larger and higher resolution, offering a crisp, clear view of system settings. ZLX G2 makes sounding great simple for users of all levels.

Dave Martone 

Dave Martone is a Canadian guitarist, producer, and educator renowned for his technical prowess and versatility across genres like progressive rock, fusion, and flamenco. Born on January 16, 1970, in Beamsville, Ontario, Martone began his musical journey at age 6 under the tutelage of his father and Spanish flamenco master Gary Santucci. He later earned a recording engineering diploma from Fanshawe College and a performance degree from the Berklee College of Music in 1995. Dave has great confidence in Electro-voice products for his music legacy

Matt Widing is the Rentals & Sales Manager at EMI Audio, a company specializing in pro audio, video, and lighting solutions since 1973. Based in Burnsville, Minnesota, EMI Audio offers a range of services including rentals, sales, installation, repair, and e-commerce for professional audio, video, and lighting equipment. DJ Kristaval is a renowned New York-based DJ and producer with over 15 years of experience in the entertainment and private event industry. She has performed at high-profile venues in NYC, LA, Aspen, Palm Beach, the Hamptons, and internationally, catering to elite clients and events. Her impressive client list includes brands like NFL, Maybelline, Vogue, and Ferrari, and she has shared the stage with artists such as LL Cool J, 50 Cent, and Ciara. 

Kristaval's versatility allows her to energize any crowd, seamlessly reading the room to keep dance floors packed, whether at intimate weddings or large-scale events. She is known for her dynamic showmanship, infectious positive energy, and all-around technical skill set. Kristaval studied at the iconic DJ Scratch Academy in NYC.

She has been featured in several global ad campaigns and Times Square billboards, and was nominated as one of the top 100 female DJs in the world by DJane Magazine. Additionally, Kristaval is the only female DJ endorsed by global speaker brand Electro-Voice.
